Company Description “Tamayyaz" is a Nationalization Development Program that enables Saudi talents to acquire the needed skills & knowledge for various professions within the hospitality field within a specific time frame by using a combination of classroom learning and On Job Training. “A passion for perfection” Raffles Makkah Palace promises the exceptional standards inherent in the Raffles name and enhanced by Arab hospitality values. Raffles Makkah Palace offers 214 Suites & duplex Villas with breathtaking views of the Masjid Al Haram, the Holy Ka'aba and the city. The hotel combines the best of local cuisine and international dishes in each of its four outlets creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere in this diving setting. Guests can also indulge and immerse themselves in a relaxing sensory experience in our world renowned spa and fitness center or hold high-powered business gatherings in any of our state-of-the-art meeting rooms. Job Description

  1. To consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues.
  2. Clean and season griddles and pans; use kitchen equipment, utensils, and tools.
  3. Thaw frozen food items safely; wash, peel, cut, and seed vegetables and fruits using knife or peeling machine.
  4. Use all kinds of knives and their designated cutting board.
  5. Cut, carve, mince, and trim meats and poultry (hot, cold).
  6. Boil, blanch, steam, simmer, and poach food materials.
  7. Sauté and deep-fry food items (hot, cold).
  8. Prepare and use breading and batters (bakery, pastry only).
  9. To prepare and service all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards.
  10. To maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage.
  11. Preparing, measuring, mixing, kneading, and shaping dough or batter for all baking ingredients and baking bread, rolls, and breakfast pastries.
  12. To have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions.
  13. Test all preparations before they leave the bakery to ensure the highest quality at all times.
  14. To ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  15. To follow kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.
  16. To follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
  17. Ensure food waste is kept to a minimum through ensuring proper rotation, labeling, and storing of food.
  18. Promote teamwork and morale within the kitchen and with all other departments.
Qualifications
  1. Tamayyaz Program is for Saudi Nationals Only.
  2. Open to candidates with little to no work experience, including fresh graduates and those with up to 6 months of relevant work experience.
  3. Basic English skills are a must.
  4. Strong passion for the hospitality field.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Is a team player that contributes to and proactively assists co-workers.
  7. Ability to work a flexible roster depending on departmental needs.
  8. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.
