The Cybersecurity Architect shall be responsible for assisting the Cybersecurity Architecture Director with managing the Cybersecurity Architecture function that focuses on planning and designing security solutions. The Cybersecurity Architecture Manager shall also assist with the management of cybersecurity RFPs, projects and initiatives, and allocated budget. Responsibilities:
- Define, deliver, and maintain secure architecture throughout the existing and future environments, consisting of complex, global architectures using risk assessments, threat modeling, testing, and analysis of existing systems.
- Assist with designing and implementing architecture enhancements and security configuration modifications to defend against identified threats and attacker techniques to protect existing infrastructure and to incorporate future solutions.
- Introduce improvements in implementation patterns and architectural design concepts.
- Be a strong technologist and a natural collaborator across the firm to ensure area owners are advised, and oversee security design and implementation are applied in a timely manner.
- Research, design and apply advanced security techniques.
- Perform cybersecurity reviews and identify gaps in security architecture to develop cybersecurity risk management plans.
- Oversee and ensure proper closure of regulatory change disposition in a timely manner and escalate to senior management as appropriate.
- Provide regular management reporting to senior management and relevant stakeholders in business units.
- Manage and coordinate cybersecurity control implementation for the customers IT and cloud environment.
- Define access right matrix and establish the governance for access rights.
- Define minimum baselines security standards for the customers infrastructure.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in Cybersecurity.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as SABSA, TOGAF, CISM, CCSP and CISSP (preferred).
- Experience in security products, risk management, cybersecurity standards, security architecture principles, threats, and vulnerabilities management, including incident response methodologies.
- Well versed in application secure design principles, common attack patterns, OWASP top 10 risks/vulnerabilities/solutions and frameworks.
- Expertise in security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), network access controls, and network segmentation.
