In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is growing its global footprint and reach through new innovations from Originals to New Economy to our rapidly growing consumer subscription business. Bloomberg Television is looking for a highly motivated Senior Producer to join our Dubai-based team. You will be responsible for leading a team of producers to output our morning programme 'Horizons Middle East and Africa'. You must have demonstrated skills in TV news production including writing, copy-editing, creating graphics/videos, and handling breaking news. You must be able to embrace challenges, make split-second decisions, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be an effective communicator across a global newsroom. This is a small team, and the expectation is that the senior producer will be hands-on.
We'll trust you to:
- Manage a team of diverse producers
- Communicate effectively to give guidance and direction to anchors, reporters and producers
- Work with the News Desk and Executive Producer to ensure your program reflects Bloomberg's editorial priorities
- Confidently output live shows from the control room
- Respond to breaking news with a sense of urgency
- Work with the Executive Producer to improve and evolve the program to meet our strategic goals
You'll need to have:
- 5+ years of experience outputting live television news programs
- Exceptional news judgement
- A good understanding of financial markets
- Experience covering the Middle East and/or Africa
- Flexibility with hours including early starts
We'd love to see:
