Position Overview: Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Business Development Manager to join their Fairs & Events product team at London ExCeL. This role is integral to driving commercial growth for their UK business, and the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales and business development. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Fairs and Events sector in the UK, in partnership with the Business Development Director.
  • Account manage and enhance business levels for the ExCeL London partnership.
  • Boost commercial growth for domestic strategic accounts and their international operations.
Duties Include:
  • Building and maintaining a robust pipeline for the Fairs and Events sector in the UK.
  • Establishing strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Regularly updating and managing the company’s pipeline tool.
  • Producing monthly reports for the Sales Director and the UK management team.
  • Developing long-term partnerships with key clients to increase customer retention and loyalty.
  • Supporting any additional projects or duties assigned by the Business Development Director.
Skills and Competencies:
  • A proactive and enthusiastic team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in sales and business development within the freight, logistics, or event sectors.
  • Solid understanding of freight forwarding (air, sea, and road) and logistics solutions.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the capability to identify and seize market opportunities.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales software.
