Role Overview This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic aerospace environment, contributing to high-quality product development and supporting the entire lifecycle from design, through manufacture and into on going maintenance. You’ll engage with cutting-edge technologies, ensure compliance with industry standards, and play a pivotal role in maintaining product excellence. This role ensures compliance with business requirements, drives continuous improvement, and upholds product quality and system process performance. You will get to expand your experience in the following areas.
- Compliance and Process Improvement: Ensuring compliance with business and industry standards, continuously improving product quality and system processes.
- Manufacturing Process Validation: Validating manufacturing processes, products, and control plans (e.G., routers, FAI, assembly data sheets) to current industry specifications.
- Product Verification: Verifying final product quality and associated build documentation, preparing and approving certification and release documents.
- Corrective and Preventative Actions: Investigating non-conformances, initiate corrective actions, and participate in preventative measures to enhance product and process quality.
- Regulatory Interaction: Liaising with regulatory authorities on production QA issues, ensuring compliance and quality standards are met.
- Training and Support: Providing training in quality systems, statistical tools, and special processes, supporting production, in-service issues, and marketing efforts.
- Supplier and Design Interface: Collaborating with designers and suppliers to ensure product quality, advise on design quality requirements, and validate supplier contracts.
- Auditing and Documentation: Planning and conduct internal product, process, and supplier quality audits, participating in third-party audits to ensure process adherence and effectiveness.
- Measurement and Calibration: Overseeing measuring and testing equipment calibration activities, document control, and participate in MRB activities.
- Risk Assessments and Project Support: Performing risk assessments, support project planning, budgeting, and general production support as required.
- 3-5 years 5 years in Quality Assurance related to Aircraft Maintenance or Manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong analytical skills, familiarity with statistics, effective technical writing, and experience with process/part auditing and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in interpreting drawings, work instructions, processes, and quality requirements.
- Composite manufacturing processes
- Avionics standard practices
- Metrology and GD&T
- Tool calibration
- Familiarity with FAI processes and AS9100 D clauses
- CQE certification
- Experience with MRP, ERP, or MES systems for metric gathering and reporting
- Experience with Civil Aviation Authorities
