General Accountant - Real Estate Division We have been appointed a function from one of our clients, a deluxe furnishings business. They are looking for a General Accountant - Real Estate Division to be based in Sharjah, UAE. Reporting to the Finance Supervisor, you should be able to perform all accounting functions up to completion, consolidation, and filing of quarterly VAT returns. Responsibilities:

1. Carry out monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting activities including settlements of bank and credit card accounts.
2. Coordination and completion of annual audits.
3. Analyzing and reporting on economic conditions including income statement variations.
4. Communicating financial results to management.
5. Budget preparation and analysis.
6. Enhancing systems and procedures and initiating corrective actions.
7. Accounts payable functions.
8. Managing taxes and compliance with federal regulations.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 3 years of experience handling the accounting tasks of a real estate or investment company.
2. Strong knowledge in finalization, consolidation, and filing of quarterly VAT.
3. Strong communication and presentation skills.
4. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar degree; candidates holding a Master's in Business or CA, CPA, etc. are preferred.
5. Proficient in English.

The working hours of the role will be from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM from Saturday to Thursday. As a benefit, you will be eligible to work alternate Saturdays with 6 days off in a month.
