Job Description

  1. Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to consistently meet or exceed established goals.
  2. Develop pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute thorough post-call evaluations to enhance sales performance continually.
  3. Handle objections, concerns, and misunderstandings effectively, securing logical and reasonable calls to action to close each sales interaction successfully.
  4. Build and maintain trusted customer relationships by understanding and proactively addressing customer needs, expectations, and challenges, fostering win-win agreements between AbbVie and healthcare providers.
  5. Create and implement a call plan that meets set metrics, optimizing customer coverage and engagement frequency to maximize sales opportunities.
  6. Continuously analyze and interpret customer needs, market dynamics, competitor activities, and disease/product knowledge to provide actionable insights and align field strategies with broader brand goals.
  7. Share market intelligence with in-field teams, brand teams, and sales managers to anticipate environmental changes and optimize brand strategy and execution.
  8. Position AbbVie’s value proposition effectively with healthcare providers, identifying and developing disease state experts, speakers, and advocates to enhance brand performance.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related field, or equivalent.
  2. Proven track record of success in pharmaceutical sales with strong presentation and communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated experience and expertise in oncology and/or hematology therapeutic areas, with a solid understanding of related disease states and treatments.
  4. Deep scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge recognized by stakeholders as a valuable resource.
  5. Strong business acumen with proficiency in leveraging business tools and applying strategic and critical thinking.
  6. Ability to adapt selling approaches to align with varying customer styles and behaviors quickly.
  7. Operates effectively within a matrix environment, collaborating across teams to achieve shared goals.
  8. Offers innovative solutions to address business challenges and maximize opportunities, demonstrating leadership and influence among peers.
  9. Builds and maintains effective partnerships with colleagues and stakeholders to support district and organizational success.
  10. Any governmental and/or legal mandatory certification requirements as per respective country laws and regulations (if applicable).
