Role and General Responsibilities Reporting to the MEP Manager, the Validation and Verification Engineer shall be responsible for but not limited to - Perform/undertake design submission reviews including reviews of interface document submissions, briefing papers, site instructions, test plans and test procedures, test results and reviewing against the PA. - Review test and commissioning schedule/program/submittals /reports.
- Design verification and construction validation activities for Project Requirements
- Support the V&V activities for safety and non-safety aspects of the project
- Support the V&V activities for the security and non-security aspects of the project
- Review Verification and Validation evidence against requirements and specifications.
- Work with V&V lead, design team, construction quality team and safety team to populate the verification and validation evidence for Project Requirements
- Work with Test & Commissioning team for commissioning submittal applicable to civil scope
- Work with Requirements Manager for requirements allocation and evidence collection activities
- Review test and commissioning schedule/program/submittals /reports
- Support overall Safety and Security Certification program
- Support periodic V&V data upload into project database IBM DOORS
- Prepare periodic reports on the progress of V&V activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent with 5-10 years of experience in systems engineering life cycle (civil side), including tools such as IBM DOORS
- Excellent understanding of verification and validation methodology and system development life cycle
- Solid experience in performing testing and analyzing test reports
- Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Perform design
- Flexible team player able to adapt fast-paced agile environment
- Knowledge of industry standards
- Familiarity with safety and security certification processes
- Knowledge of rail industry tools like DOORS, Procore, SharePoint, etc.
- Proficient in MS Tools
