HCR Permanent Search is currently working with a top manufacturing company in the Aurora area who needs to hire a Plant Manager. What is critical for them is the person must have work experience with a company that manufactures pressure vessels, boilers or a similar type of product. To attract the best candidates, my client is offering a competitive pay rate ($120,000 - $140,000 / year) with an attractive bonus, 3 weeks of vacation and a good benefits program. This role is 100% on site. Minimum Requirements
- Having a degree or diploma in mechanical or industrial engineering. Education in Operations Manager will be considered as well.
- Several years of experience as a Plant or Operations Manager in a facility that manufactures boilers, pressure vessels or other similar types of equipment
- Preference for someone who has their Gas Technician License of ASME welding code certification
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects using LEAN methodology
- Experience with the Ontario Health and Safety Act
- Provides leadership and mentorship to a team of 45 people
- Ensures quality products are manufactured and on time
- Ensures production deadlines are met
- Works with other groups in the plant (ie. Engineering) to ensure equipment and processes are optimized
- Manages plant budget
- Ensures everyone works in a safe manner and that PPE is being used
