Our exciting start-up client in the automotive sector is seeking a hands on Network Architect who possess extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining Enterprise network infrastructure, with high-level expertise in Fortinet and Cisco technologies, Azure networking, and WAN design and build experience. This role can be located in either Oxfordshire, Surrey or Warwickshire. Key Responsibilities · Design, implement, and maintain network architectures that support the organization's business objectives and growth. · Lead network infrastructure projects from conception to completion, ensuring delivery to time and budget. · Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for network hardware and software, including Fortinet and Cisco technologies. · Develop and implement best practices and policies for network security, performance, and reliability. · Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other systems. · Evaluate and recommend new technologies and products to enhance network capabilities and efficiency. · Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures. · Conduct training sessions and provide technical guidance to team members and other departments as needed. Format into sections and lists to improve readability Requirements Required · Relevant high level industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, NSE · Minimum of 7 years of experience in network architecture and design. · Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet and Cisco technologies. · In-depth knowledge of Azure networking, including virtual networks, VPN gateways, and ExpressRoute. · Proven experience in modern WAN design and build · Experience with Zero Trust architecture and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) concepts. · Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices. · Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work to time within complex delivery programmes. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Desirable · Experience with network automation and orchestration tools. · Knowledge of cloud networking beyond Azure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud). · Familiarity with monitoring and management approaches and tools such as SolarWinds, Grafana, or similar. · Experience in managing network projects in a scaling enterprise environment Experience with Zero Trust (ZTNA) / SASE is highly advantageous in addition to SD-WAN implementations.
