About The Role We employ approximately 4,000 people across our businesses in Auckland, Hamilton, and Queenstown. Our dedicated Auckland-based Payroll team ensures everyone is paid correctly, on time, and in compliance with the NZ Payroll Legislation, the Holidays Act, as well as SkyCity's policies. The Team Leader - Payroll role operates as the subject matter expert, resolving issues and looking for improvements in processes while implementing these initiatives. You will directly assist the Payroll Manager in defining standards and approaches for payroll operations. You will manage effective internal and external client relationships within your area of responsibility and build client relationships throughout the wider group and organisation. You'll Bring
- Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of NZ payroll legislations and the Holidays Act
- Extensive experience in large payroll functions with high volumes of processing
- Intermediate to advanced level experience using MS Excel
- A well-organised attitude and the ability to work well under pressure
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with PeopleSoft is an advantage
