We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef specializing in Pastry to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment with a focus on pastry preparation and execution. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Pastry Chef in creating and preparing high-quality pastries and desserts.
- Help with the planning and implementation of pastry menu items.
- Oversee and participate in the production and presentation of pastries in accordance with recipes and standards.
- Train and supervise pastry team members, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate ordering needs to management.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, following hygiene regulations.
- Assist in developing new pastry recipes and staying updated on industry trends.
- Ensure that all pastries are prepared and presented to meet quality standards.
- Contribute to menu planning and creative dessert options for special events or promotions.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a pastry kitchen or related culinary environment.
- Culinary degree or certification from an accredited institution.
- Strong foundation in pastry techniques and baking principles.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaboratively with a team.
