Overview

Assist the Blade Supervisor to accomplish aviation unit and intermediate maintenance inspections and repairs on aircraft blades. Will also be responsible to:

Repair aircraft blades and composite structures on rotary wing aircraft in accordance with approved methods and procedures.
Mix and apply composite and related material using epoxy resins, fiberglass, honeycomb, carbon, and Kevlar fabrics structures utilizing common measuring tools, precision measuring gages, alignment fixtures, and other related equipment to perform composite repairs.
Apply corrosion prevention control (CPC) treatment to aircraft composites.
Maintain facilities for storage of flammable, corrosive, and hazardous materials.
Requisition composite materials and maintain shop and bench stock for repair of the aircraft composites and blades.
Inspect and prepare forms and records related to maintenance in accordance with DA PAM 738-751 and local directives.
Train host national personnel on the proper maintenance of composite structures.
Be responsible for tools and equipment inventory assigned by the supervisor.
