JD for Retail Growth Head/Retail Growth ManagerWe are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Retail Growth and Market Insights Head to lead the discovery and execution of data-driven insights that will drive business growth in the retail business. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes, translating these insights into actionable strategies that optimize business performance and identify growth opportunities. This role requires a proactive thinker who can blend qualitative and quantitative analysis to influence decision-making at the highest levels.*Key Responsibilities:*1. Market and Consumer Insights:- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitive positioning.- Analyze customer data to understand behavior patterns, purchasing drivers, and market demand.- Monitor macroeconomic, cultural, and retail industry trends to provide strategic recommendations.- Lead segmentation analysis to understand different consumer demographics and their needs.2. Growth Strategy Development:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement growth opportunities.- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that provide insights into customer conversion, profitability, revenue growth and inputs improvement at category level- Analyze retail sales and performance metrics to inform growth strategy and optimize product portfolios.- Identify and assess new markets, channels, and partnerships that align with the company's growth objectives.3. Competitor and Market Analysis:- Conduct in-depth competitive analysis and benchmarking to understand competitors' strengths and weaknesses.- Develop and maintain an ongoing knowledge of market conditions, pricing strategies, and emerging retail technologies.- Provide regular reports and actionable insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.4. Data Interpretation and Communication:- Work with data teams to analyze large datasets, including sales, customer behavior, and external market data.- Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and actionable manner.- Ensure that insights are integrated into ongoing business operations and marketing initiatives.5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:- Partner with marketing, product development, and sales teams to ensure alignment of insights with business goals.- Drive collaboration across departments to ensure cohesive strategies for market positioning and growth initiatives.6. Forecasting and Predictive Analytics:- Use predictive models and scenario planning to provide forecasts and help the business prepare for future trends.- Develop market entry strategies for new products or services based on insights from data analysis.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (Master's preferred).- 5+ years of experience in growth, sales planning or a similar role in retail or consumer goods.- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, market modelling, and forecasting.- Expertise in using market research tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.- Experience in developing and executing growth strategies based on market insights.- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.- Strong business acumen with a focus on retail and consumer behavior trends.- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Proficient in Excel, SQL, or other data analysis tools; experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.Key Competencies:- Strategic Thinking- Analytical and Detail-Oriented- Problem-Solving- Collaboration and Teamwork- Communication and Presentation Skills- Business Acumen- Adaptability and Proactivity AGG
