What the role is Deputy Manager, e-Learning Instructional Designer, LTA Academy (LTAA) What you will be working on The LTAA is a division within the Land Transport Authority. The Academy’s vision is to be a leading global institution on land transport, with a mission to share Singapore's experience and expertise and deliver competency-based training to uplift the competency of LTA officers and the industry. This e-Learning Instructional Designer position resides within the LTAA’s Learning Technologies team, established to take the lead in identifying and leveraging the latest technologies and trends in learning, supporting the delivery of training programmes and enhancing learner’s experience through the adoption of learning technology. Besides instructional design for e-Learning, the candidate will also play a key role in analyzing, recommending, and developing innovative instructional solutions to meet a variety of training needs and learning styles, through the use of the latest technologies, grounded in sound approaches to pedagogy and andragogy. Key Responsibilities Project manage collaborations with subject matter experts (internal and external), vendors, as well as other stakeholders such as Trainers, partners, and various Institutes of Higher Learning. Create engaging industry-compliant interactive e-learning courseware (such as SCORM) using authoring tools like Articulate, iSpring, etc., enhancing LTA’s in-house e-Learning capabilities for rapid development of online content. This involves storyboarding and familiarity with managing Learning Management Systems. Keep abreast of the latest learning technologies (e.g., VR, AR, MR) through research and experimentation, horizon scanning, etc. Make recommendations for adoption or pilot trials to gauge suitability and effectiveness. Involve in the engagement of Trainers to increase awareness and adoption of learning methodologies/technologies, observe classes in view of recommending ways to infuse learning technologies to enhance teaching and learning. Mentor executives in the implementation of new learning technologies. Any other duties as may be assigned. What we are looking for Knowledge in adult education, with a minimum of 5 years practitioner experience in e-Learning instructional design. Candidate should also have good working knowledge of: Microsoft Office applications Image editing software Video editing software Animation Multimedia development including interactive learning objects Graphic and visual design skills Web design skills (HTML and CSS) Course development and technology support in the context of a training and development environment/academy Expertise in the use of e-learning authoring/development tools Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills, able to work effectively in a team and across teams.
