About The Role We are looking for a professional and leader with extensive experience in fleet, pre-owned, and commercial operations. The Polestar Commercial Manager – Fleet & Pre-Owned will lead our Fleet & Business department and Pre-Owned program. This role will take responsibility for supporting Polestar’s fleet and pre-owned vehicle sales growth in Australia and driving functional excellence in each of these areas. This role will also oversee and manage the company’s internal vehicle fleet and remarketing at Polestar. Key Responsibilities Fleet & Business :
- Actively pursue incremental fleet sales to drive and maximise long term fleet sales market share
- Enhance consistent fleet sales and performance management by acting as a Polestar-ambassador in the organization for Fleet & Business and in engagement with all internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and execute national Fleet & Business strategy, operational plans, concrete targets and governance for the area
- Design and deploy fleet procedures, campaigns, and programs to support fleet operations and generate fleet orders
- Hands-on fleet sales and operations management
- Provide support to Key Account Manager with fleet customer prospecting, account management, relationship building and negotiating
- Business development in new fleet channels and segments
- Set up monthly delivery target of Fleet volume
- Understand and apply EV and other government subsidies for corporates and novated lease customers
- The Commercial Manager – Fleet & Pre-Owned reports to the Head of Commercial Operations
- Manage Pre-Owned vehicle sales and monitor stock levels
- Develop and manage our Pre-Owned process to optimize Pre-Owned sales
- Responsible for pricing strategy of Pre-Owned vehicles, developing partnerships with local service providers in remarketing area to improve residual values of Pre-Owned vehicles
- Create new business processes to support Polestar Pre-owned program
- Develop local pricing strategies and tools to drive revenue
- Ensure fulfilment of Pre-Owned standards across operations through regular audits and provided training
- Develop new and innovative sales strategies for Pre-Owned vehicles to enhance the second cycle of these vehicles
- Report and follow-up on Pre-Owned sales performance and KPIs
- Manage internal and company cars, including supporting de-fleet process of internal stock
- Continue improvement of Pre-Owned program to ensure a competitive customer offer
- Recommend change requests and enhancements to the Global Pre-Owned program to improve local performance and customer journey
- Monitor market residual value performance against key competition
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the automotive field or related
- Master or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering or equivalent
- Strong business development acumen
- Problem solving entrepreneurial attitude, and a strong sense of organization, time and resource management
- Demonstrated analytical skills and data driven decision-making
- Proven project manager qualities with ability to lead process implementation and project full cycle
- Experience from other large and complex companies is a great advantage and / or experience from the EV automotive industry
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Experience with data analysis, financial analysis, and market sales analysis
- Experience developing relationships with and managing strategic partners and other external stakeholders and vendors
