We're driven by a deep commitment to excellence and a passion for making a difference in our communities.Job Summary:We are looking for an Indigenous Relations Coordinator/Assistant Project Manager who is a team player with strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities. The Indigenous Relations Coordinator will provide support for the Indigenous Relations Advisor on Indigenous relations activities on behalf of our clients.Key Responsibilities:Working on Indigenous Consultation:Engages in consultation & communication to keep Indigenous communities informed about proposed activities and to gather their input on interests and concerns.Contributes to negotiations with Indigenous communities by conducting thorough research, taking meticulous notes, and following up.Develops strong relationships with Indigenous communities to facilitate the exchange of information and to create opportunities.Maintains consultation documentation, including letters, records of consultation, and reports, ensuring they meet a high standard.Coordinates consultation meetings with Indigenous communities and project teams, ensuring adherence to established processes, timely completion, and effective reporting of outcomes.Working with Project Teams:Develop, track, maintain and update project cost reports, develop and update project schedules, procurement and maintain document management systems through all phases of the project.Review invoices, change orders, and management of payments to all contractors, consultants, and equipment vendors.Coordinate project team activities and interact effectively with clients, contractors, engineers, project managers, and other consultants.Coordinate and participate in technical proposal writing and other business development activities.Prepare and distribute high quality, accurate and timely documents such as agendas, status reports, minutes, communication logs, change management, and other required documentation.Perform contract administration, coordination, and development as required.Qualifications & Competency:A Bachelor's degree or higher in Indigenous studies, geography, archaeology, anthropology, political science, business administration or related field.At least 1-2 years of relevant experience working with Indigenous communities.PMP/CAPM is considered an asset along with previous experience working in a similar role.Ability to build relationships with Indigenous communities through respectful communication and willingness to understand diverse perspectives.Emotional intelligence to work with a broad range of different types of people, including Indigenous groups, technical experts, government officials, legal counsels, public stakeholders, and other project partners.Strong abilities to assist with coordination of multidisciplinary teams on complex projects on time-sensitive projects of varying sizes.Excellent organizational skills, time-management skills, and thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources.At Integris, we believe in fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment where every team member is empowered to reach their full potential.
