JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform sales policy and practice established by the Sales and Marketing, Corporate Sales & Marketing and the hotel.

Advises management of sales effort progress and bookings.

Follows, reviews, and advises the superior on ways to improve the Sales and Marketing Standards and Policy.

Coaches and plans effectively to motivate all to achieve the departmental as well as the hotel's goals.

Reports on confirmed and anticipated bookings for forecasting purposes.

Meets regularly with department heads to review sales efforts and provide feedback from customers.

Liaises with Rooms & Guest Services, Reservation, and Banquet Department.

Provides directions to all concerned departments regarding incoming groups.

Directs contact with potential business leads, keeping control of heavy booking dates.

Resolves booking conflicts based on group importance, revenue potential, and alternate dates.

Corresponds with group contacts and entertains clients as needed.

Establishes departmental procedures for approaching a contact from the initial call to documentation, to follow-up.

Maintains close contact with travel agents, local business groups, and airlines.

Analyses sales results and competition, and recommends ways to improve the situation.

Liaises with concerned departments to ensure that operations will deliver the best quality products to the clients.

Furnishes sales monthly reports according to the request on a timely basis.

Sales experience with the leisure market in Dubai; corporate segment experience is an additional advantage within Hospitality.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Business or Hospitality Management.

UAE Driving License.

Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Minimum 2 or more years of experience in a similar role in the Dubai hotel industry.
