Specialist - Regulatory Affairs/Quality Management

We are looking for Quality Management Specialist & Regulatory Affairs Specialist who is responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of products , ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, labeling requirements (both local and export), and other relevant industry standards. Overseeing the implementation of quality control processes within the production environment and contributing to the overall success of SW Food Group's R&D processes and manufacturing operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality Control & Management

1. Implement and maintain quality management protocols within the R&D process in compliance with the quality standards.
2. Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure product quality meets specified standards.
3. Support regulatory compliance by assisting in the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory documents.
4. Manage internal and external audits for Government and/or Food Safety Certification System to ensure regulatory compliance.
5. Investigate complaints on product quality by gathering data, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
6. Maintain detailed records of complaints, investigations, actions taken, and outcomes, ensuring complaint handling adheres to relevant industry standards and regulations.
7. Facilitate training sessions for internal team on best practices, regulatory updates, and quality management systems.

Regulatory Affairs Support

1. Ensure SW Food Group's compliance with food safety regulations, labeling requirements, and industry standards, including ISO standards and Halal certification requirements.
2. Manage the interactions with local and foreign regulatory bodies, interprets regulatory requirements and any impact to Operations.
3. Conduct regular checks to verify compliance of labeling processes for both local and export markets.
4. Support the implementation of strategies to maintain compliance while achieving business objectives.
5. Collaborate on the development and implementation of procedures to maintain and improve regulatory compliance.
6. Prepare relevant reports for Management review.

Others

1. Stay informed about changes in regulations related to food safety, labeling, and industry standards to ensure SW Food Group always meets any updated requirements.
2. Work closely with Product Development team, providing quality and regulatory input during the formulation, development, and testing of new products.
3. Work closely with the Quality Control team to ensure that products and manufacturing processes meet regulatory standards for safety, quality, and efficacy.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to regulatory compliance.
5. Establish and maintain a systematic record-keeping system for regulatory affairs activities.
6. Address ad-hoc tasks given by direct manager as needed to ensure seamless operations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Quality Management / Regulatory Affairs or related field.
2. Minimum 1-5 years’ experience in quality management roles / regulatory affairs roles within the food manufacturing industry (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
3. In-depth knowledge of quality management protocols, regulatory requirements / food safety regulations, labeling requirements, and industry standards.
4. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the food manufacturing industry.
7. Ability to demonstrate initiative and work well in a fast-paced environment.
8. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
