CASHIER RESTAURANT

The role As a Cashier in our bustling restaurant at OMBAK PANTAI RESTAURANT in Setiu Terengganu, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our dining establishment. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for efficiently handling cash transactions, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records, all while contributing to the overall success of our hospitality business. What you'll be doing

1. Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
2. Operate the cash register and point-of-sale system to process customer payments accurately and efficiently
3. Reconcile cash, credit card, and other payment transactions at the end of each shift
4. Maintain a clean and organised cashier station, ensuring it is well-stocked and presentable
5. Assist with other front-of-house duties as needed, such as answering customer inquiries and providing information about our menu and services
6. Collaborate with the restaurant team to provide a seamless dining experience for our guests
7. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service-oriented role, preferably in the hospitality industry
2. Strong math skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate cash handling and record-keeping
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
4. Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
5. Flexible and adaptable to work in a dynamic, fast-paced restaurant environment
6. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash register operations
