Our solutions help ensure mission success on land, air, sea, space, and cyberspace for the Department of Defense, intelligence community, NASA, and other federal agencies.POSITION SUMMARY: The Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB) Base Community Planner is responsible for community planning and managing activities related to human and physical aspects of community, regional, urban, comprehensive, and land use plans in support of an installation.These functions ensure the delivery of BASE OPERATING SUPPORT-INSTALLATION (BOS-I) services to the 378 Air Expeditionary Wing (AEW), mission partners, and tenant units, including transient, temporary duty (TDY), permanent party, and rotational personnel, as well as five (5) remote Army sites at PSAB, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).Responsibilities:Facilitates the development and maintenance of the Installation Development Plan (IDP) and other comprehensive planning studies.Ensures compatible use planning between on and off installation facility and infrastructure development.Plans, programs, budgets, and executes required projects in support of assigned programs.Collects data and evaluates factors affecting physical development, maintenance, and management of installation infrastructure assets.Prepares planning studies, applies tools, and analyzes quantitative and qualitative data.Functions as an integral team member, cooperating with and supporting U.S. deployed forces.Ensures all contractual performance objectives are met.Works with a diverse, international, and multi-skill workforce.Available within two (2) hours of notification to meet on the installation.Ensures successful delivery of services to 4,000 personnel.Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property.Ensures compliance with all US laws, Saudi Labor Law, and local standards.Performs other duties as assigned.MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions requiring personal protective equipment (PPE).Use of Land Mobile Radios, cell phones, laptops, and other devices to maintain contact.WORKING ENVIRONMENT:Work will be indoors and outdoors.Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and chemicals may occur.Overtime and shift work may be required.Must comply with all regulations and company work rules.Prepared to function in a wartime or contingency environment.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:Physical requirements include lifting up to 35 lbs and team lifting up to 50 lbs.Work may require using and wearing personal protective equipment.Day-to-day physical requirements may involve standard office activities.Moderate physical exertion including walking and climbing may be required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.Education/Certifications:Bachelor's Degree in Community Planning, Architecture, or Engineering.Community Planning Experience may waive the Bachelor's Degree requirement.Attendance at the AFIT WENG 519 course is highly desired.Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U.S. Driver's License.Must possess a valid passport with at least 13 months of remaining validity and 6 blank visa pages.Must have and maintain a valid U.S. SECRET Security Clearance.Fluency in English is required.Candidate must meet CENTCOM MOD-15 theater requirements.Experience:Minimum 4 years' work experience with similar projects.Experience with DOD/USAF Bare Bases and change management.Skills:Professional knowledge of community planning concepts and regulations.Ability to gather, analyze facts, and devise solutions to complex planning problems.Knowledge of automated tools and software programs.Skill in communicating clearly and persuasively.Ability to organize and distribute work to complete large projects.Ability to plan, budget, and execute projects based on priorities.Able and willing to work long hours to meet mission requirements.Experience in contingency environments and government contracts.
