Senior Offshore Structural Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Offshore Structural Engineer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term employment contract. About the Job Perform as Leads / Sub-lead / Senior Engineer in project execution and take ownership of specific tasks in a project:

1. Technical responsibility of Material Requisition
2. Performing Design Calculations
3. Coordination with other disciplines
4. Forecasting of MTOs for design area
5. Reviewing vendor documents
6. Correctly interpret 3rd party reports such as geotechnical, bathymetric survey, metocean data for incorporation into structural design basis
7. Ensures optimum engineering design compliance to codes and performance and timely issuance of engineering deliverables to Client
8. Prepares updates and checks calculations for detailed engineering
9. Contributes to optimization of material quantities by proposing value engineering solutions
10. Ensures contractual technical specifications are met by the suppliers and adheres to the committed manhours and budget
11. Ensure timely internal and external reporting on engineering/requisitioning activities to the group leader
12. Meets quality objectives of the project
13. Interfaces with other discipline specialist engineers and possibly project support functions such as procurement and planning

Provides guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers. About You Must Have:

1. Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 7 years experience in design and execution of projects in offshore facilities.
2. Minimum 3.5 in CGPA or 2nd Class Upper.

1. Advanced user of SACS engineering software
2. Frequent user of USFOS
3. Frequent user of GRLWEAP

Substructure and Topsides In-service Analyses

1. Static in-place
2. Dynamic in-place
3. Spectral Fatigue

In-depth Knowledge of Pre-service Analyses

1. Lifting analysis
2. Load-out analysis
3. On-bottom
4. Pile driveability analysis

Nice to Have: Analysis and Tools

1. Frequent user of SESAM
2. Frequent user of Abaqus / Ansys

Substructure and Topsides In-service Analyses

1. Seismic analysis (ELE and ALE)
2. Blast and fire structural collapse analysis
3. Vibration analysis
4. Wind fatigue analysis
