Software Engineer in Test

Job Role – SDET (Functional, Non-Functional and Automation Testing) Work Experience – 2-6 years Location: Gurgaon/Noida Education: BE/B. Tech./Master of Computer Application Role & Responsibilities  Author, review and execute detailed TCs/UCs as per functional specifications  Automate, execute, and maintain an automated regression suite with 99% pass rate  Track coverage of existing code at regular basis using code coverage tools  Development/enhance automation frameworks basis requirements  Develop and execute non-functional requirements (i18n, l10n, a11y, perf. etc.) Document clear and concise defects report and verify them post fixing  Keep control of bug backlog and focus on fixing aged defect w/ help of scrum team  Setup and configure test environments  Monitoring performance of application postproduction rollout  Experience of tracking health of application in production using tools  Experience of working on scrum model and clear understanding of roles involved  Experience of working w/ multi-location global teams in different time-zones Technical Skills:  Hands on programming experience viz. Java/Java Script/Python/Perl  Good understanding of OOPS concepts  Hands on experience with Linux, DB, Web Servers, App Servers  Experience in virtualization technologies is a plus  Experience with Selenium, TestNG/Junit, Page Object Model, Mocking, Code Coverage  Knowledge of J2EE, XML, web services testing & automation (REST or SOAP) Experience of one or more of scripting and build automation tools (Ant, Perl, Shell, Python, Maven, Gradle, Groovy) Hands on experience with JIRA & Confluence  Experience of one or more of CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity etc.) Experience in non-functional testing like i18n, l10n, ally, security, stability, usability etc.  Experience of working in cloud technologies is a must  Must have been involved in software testing cycles with enterprise web-based products  Excellent debugging skills and not just stop at reporting defects  Experience of working with large-scale product testing with an ability to test complex integrated software applications in multiple environments  Working experience with tools like Kibana/Grafana/ES/LogStash etc.  Working experience with synthetic monitoring tools (ThousandEyes, NewRelic, etc.) Experience with testing and automation of mobile apps (iOS/Android) is desired Soft Skills:  Excellent written and verbal communication skills  High attention to details and avoiding anything getting missed from testers’ eyes  Strong negotiation skills which help in delivering high quality release to customers  Ability to analyse and solve problems as well as effectively communicate software defects  Team Player, ability to multi-task, work independently and provide excellent follow-through  Understand and challenge status quo in positive way for overall betterment  Confidence and courage to clearly highlight quality of application under test
