Senior Engineer - Firmware Power Electronics

Responsibilities:

• Participate in all phases of development, such as implementation, testing, and release
• Need to develop firmware for power electronic converters like AC-DC & DC-DC using TI C2000 microcontrollers.
• Developing closed-loop control and stability analysis using bode plots.
• Validate control strategies using simulation tools like MATLAB or HIL
• Component selection and working with the E-CAD team for embedded HW development
• Supporting production and engineering teams with debugging field issues and analysing the field data for troubleshooting.
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams for interfacing with the control of the entire system.
• Propose optimal process flow methods and code enhancements meeting required standards.

• Masters in Power Electronics with 3+ years or B.E. in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience required
• Strong basics in closed-loop control of power converters and implementation of digital control using microcontrollers / DSCs
• Experience in developing embedded firmware using C/C++.
• Strong basics in the application of microcontrollers and peripherals like ePWM, Capture, Timer etc, required for power converter control
• Strong fundamentals of discretization techniques to implement the closed-loop control of power converters using digital controllers.
• Experience with different communication protocols like SPI, I2C and CAN
• Experience in writing technical documents such as test specifications and board-level design details, etc.
• Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
