The Insurance Specialist plays a crucial role in the Facilities & Property Management sector, ensuring that all insurance policies are effectively managed and aligned with the company’s operational needs. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can navigate the complexities of insurance regulations and policies while providing strategic insights to minimize risks and maximize coverage. The Insurance Specialist will work closely with various departments to assess their insurance needs and ensure compliance with legal and company standards. Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and analyze the company’s insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage options.
  2. Manage and maintain relationships with insurance providers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  3. Oversee the administration of health, medical, automotive, and general insurance policies to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  4. Conduct regular audits of insurance policies to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  5. Assist in the claims process by providing necessary documentation and liaising with insurance adjusters.
  6. Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses.
  7. Prepare and present reports on insurance performance and risk exposure to management.
  8. Collaborate with legal and financial teams to align insurance strategies with business objectives.

  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Proficient in insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  7. Knowledge of risk management principles.
  8. Ability to adapt to changing regulations and policies.
Skills
  • BSc/BA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Completion of a formal course in insurance procedures is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health, motor, and general insurance policies.
  • Experience in risk assessment and management practices.
  • Strong negotiation skills with insurance providers to secure optimal terms.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to maintain and process various insurance billing efficiently.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in the insurance.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements in the insurance sector.
