Position Title: Sales and Reservation Assistant Manager Location: Pune Company Overview: RJ Hospitality, headquartered in Brooklyn with a corporate office operating in Viman Nagar, Pune, is dedicated to providing exceptional service and memorable experiences for our guests. You will be working in Pune, handling our hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton, and IHG. You will be working in Pune, handling our hotel brands in the USA. Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales and Reservation Assistant Manager to join our team. This role is essential in overseeing and optimizing the sales and reservations operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, and driving revenue growth. Education and Experience: Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.
Preferred:
  • 0-1 years of experience selling group business, either at a property or in a sales office.
  • Team-based selling experience.
  • Hospitality Management Degree.
Core Work Activities:
  • Manage customer inquiries and group leads.
  • Respond timely to group/catering opportunities within predefined parameters.
  • Align customer preferences with brand needs and up-sell to maximize revenue.
  • Collaborate with sales channels for coordinated efforts.
  • Understand market trends and sell effectively against competitors.
  • Generate and manage proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence.
  • Implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Utilize marketing initiatives to close business deals.
  • Respond to Cvent, Meeting broker, and Marriott OneSource lead management systems.
Building Successful Relationships:
  • Establish coordinated sales efforts to avoid duplication.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable features and services.
  • Build strong relationships with existing and new customers.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in sales and reservations, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in reservation software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Additional Skills (Desirable):
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of various reservation systems (e.g., Opera, PMS).
  • Experience in handling customer complaints and resolving conflicts.
  • Multilingual abilities (especially fluency in [relevant languages]).
Responsibilities as a Hotel Sales Manager:
  • Increase sales by generating revenue and driving business growth for the hotel.
  • Handle inquiries from potential clients about accommodations and event bookings, providing information to facilitate the sales process using Cvent, Meetingbroker, and Marriott OneSource Lead Management System.
  • Assist in preparing sales proposals and contracts tailored to the specific needs of clients.
  • Coordinate the booking process for meetings, events, and accommodations, liaising with clients, internal departments, and vendors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients through regular communication, providing personalized service.
  • Maintain client databases and records, tracking interactions, bookings, and preferences.
  • Assist in coordinating logistics for events, including setup, catering, audiovisual equipment, and other arrangements.
  • Prepare and maintain sales reports, tracking key performance indicators to evaluate sales performance.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
  • Provide administrative support to the sales team, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and preparing documents and presentations.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to coordinate sales efforts and maximize revenue-generating opportunities.
