Senior Associate (CONTRACT), Corporate Communications Wayfair is seeking a passionate storyteller to join its Corporate Communications team. This contract position is an exciting opportunity to tell the compelling, behind-the-scenes stories of this multi-billion dollar retail company that is expanding its technology team in India. This role will oversee internal and external communications for Wayfair India, including employee communications, media relations and owned content. This person will work cross-functionally across key stakeholders spanning Technology, Talent and more. A successful candidate will be an energetic and highly-motivated communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance concurrent projects under tight deadlines. Candidates should be inherently curious and self-driven with a passion for corporate storytelling and an ability to bring the people, teams and initiatives that make a company tick to life. The role will report into the ( REPORTING MANAGER ) and collaborate closely with the central corporate communications team. This role is based in Wayfair’s Technology Development Center in Bengaluru. What You’ll Do:
- Partner with teams and senior leaders across multiple departments to source compelling content that will resonate across various audiences and help build the brand of Wayfair as an attractive employer for technologists
- Work with local PR agency to drive media relations, awards and speaking opportunities to drive thought leadership and increase awareness of Wayfair
- Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content across various channels - including bylines, social media and corporate blog
- Translate multifaceted business initiatives into simple, polished, and engaging content
- Participate in strategic campaign planning and contribute to developing story ideas that support corporate communications priorities
- Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in journalism, corporate communications or public relations, ideally in the technology sector
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail; carefully and consistently proofs own work
- Superior organizational skills and proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
- Critical thinker who is flexible and open to change and new information
- Interest and experience in developing content for social media channels
- Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
