About the Job:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our payroll team. As a Payroll Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate payment of wages and salaries, maintaining payroll compliance, and facilitating effective communication within the group. This role reports to the Payroll Manager supported by the Payroll Team Leader and 1 Payroll Officer.Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly/fortnightly/monthly end-to-end payroll accurately and on time.
- Provide support, assistance and advice to management and staff on payroll matters.
- Ensure compliance with legislative changes and assist with reconciliations.
- Review and manage exceptions in Time & Attendance system ensuring accurate pays are processed for all staff
- Provide support, assistance and advice to management and staff on payroll matters
- Foster a culture of excellent customer service and teamwork.
- Assist in the maintenance of payroll systems and ensure data accuracy.
- Uphold a safety-first culture and promote a safe work environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Detailed oriented payroll experience in a large, complex environment.
- Experience transitioning to new payroll systems would be beneficial.
- Understanding of Awards & Enterprise Agreements.
- Intermediate Excel experience.
- Time and Attendance (T&A) experience.
- Retail payroll experience highly desirable
