Detalhes do emprego

As a premier luxury accommodation in the Margaret River Region, we are seeking a seasoned professional to join our vibrant team as a hands-on Assistant Housekeeping Manager. This integral role involves liaising with all departments to ensure guests’ needs are not only met but exceeded. Our team specializes in creating a bespoke experience where guests feel at home and welcomed within a stunning resort setting, all whilst seamlessly attending to all the ‘behind the scenes’ matters which maintain the smooth running of the resort. ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our existing high-achieving team of Hospitality Professionals within Housekeeping. Supported by the Executive Housekeeping Manager, you will lead a team of housekeeping staff, manage their performance, and drive productivity and standards of cleanliness. We are looking for someone who can train and support our staff—not just check rooms. You will have a strong customer focus with a meticulous eye for detail to ensure our villas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard. You should also have the ability to work and communicate with other departments to ensure our guests’ needs are prioritized. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are followed. • Handle guest concerns promptly, communicating with others where necessary. • Actively participate in daily briefings, warm-ups, and department meetings. • Ensure all team members follow set policies and procedures and that rooms are completed in a timely manner. • Ensure the Housekeeping Department meets its Key Performance Indicators on a weekly/monthly basis. • Work with our Maintenance Team to ensure rooms are always presented to the highest standard. • Ensure all team members comply with hotel health and safety procedures. • Complete all additional tasks and projects as assigned. • Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new housekeeping staff, including conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations. • Organize and lead training sessions on new cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and the use of new cleaning equipment or supplies. • Develop and implement housekeeping schedules and routines to optimize staff productivity. • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, restocking as needed. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE We are not seeking someone to just check rooms; we are after someone who can lead our team and keep them motivated and engaged. You should be able to prioritize your workload and assist with the ongoing planning and operation of the department. In addition, we are seeking someone who: • Has previous experience in motivating, leading, and training housekeeping staff. • Has previously worked as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Coordinator. • Has strong attention to detail. • Possesses exceptional organizational and time management skills. • Demonstrates superior customer service skills along with the capability of working both autonomously and as part of a team. • Has the flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays. • Holds unrestricted rights to work in Australia. • Has experience and a passion for training staff. • Preferably has experience with RMS PMS, but it is not necessary. • Currently holds a Senior First Aid certificate or is able to attain one.
