Description
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all finance activities within a company. This includes business planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and negotiations.Key Responsibilities:
- Budget Development : Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, ensuring contract and grant compliance, and providing access to project finance information.
- Revenue Analysis : Research revenue opportunities, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.
- Risk Management : Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, evaluating and managing capital structure and fundraising initiatives.
- HR Operations : Oversee HR operations by coordinating with external service providers and internal staff responsible for other aspects of HR.
- Business Performance Monitoring : Monitor business performance using tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for earnings calls, the management team, and the rest of the company.
- Finance Personnel Management : Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities.
- Compliance : Ensure full transparency and administrative compliance with Listing Requirements, Accounting Standards, and other statutory directives.
- Internal Control : Responsible for internal control and driving compliance to company policies and Bursa Listing Requirements.
- Investment Proposals : Control and provide input into decisions relating to investment proposals and projects that involve fundraising.
- Board Support : Coordinate boards of Directors meetings and Board Paper preparations.
- External Partnerships : Liaise with auditors, tax agents, lawyers, bankers, property valuers, and other consultants to achieve desired project outcomes.
- Financial Planning : Prepare the Group's financial forecast and cash flow projections, design equity/debt funding strategies, and arrange banking facilities.
Job Specifications:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, business accounting, finance, or equivalent is required.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- International finance experience or MIA Certificate/membership is an advantage.
- Candidates with professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or other relevant certifications are an added advantage.
- Multitasking and time management skills are essential.
- Honesty and strong values are required.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills are necessary.
- Fluency in English and Malay is required.
- Able to travel and willing to work in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
