Senior Accountant / Client Manager

We are currently working on behalf of a well-regarded, family-run accountancy firm based in Matamata who are on the lookout for a Senior Accountant / Aspiring Client Manager to join their team. In this role, you will maintain a portfolio of clients and provide accounting advice to various agricultural and commercial clients. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking a permanent role in a collaborative team environment with flexible working arrangements. What you would be doing As the Senior Accountant, you will be doing any of the following:

1. Managing a portfolio of clients and liaising with various accounting issues.
2. Conducting various tax returns and compliance.
3. Preparing and reconciling financial statements.
4. Assisting in accounting services such as budgeting, cash flow, and management reporting.

Who are we looking for? We’re interested in hearing from people who have prior experience working in public practice, who are excellent communicators, have a keen eye for detail, and the ability to juggle workloads and deadlines. 1. Proficient in all MS Office tools.
2. Experience in tax returns and compliance.
3. Experience in client engagement.
4. Exposure to systems such as Xero, APS, or similar accounting software would be beneficial.
