Automotive Dealership is seeking to employ a Buyer with sound experience within the automotive industry. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH SUZUKI
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Matric with pure mathematics HG
- 3 years’ experience in a Buyer / Purchasing control environment in the Automotive Manufacturing Industry
- Finance / Supply Chain knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills, VLook-Ups and Pivot Tables
- Manage raw material and competent stock
- Manage supplier performance
- Daily follow ups, backorders, and quotes, maintain spreadsheet with ETA dates, stock received and stock on backorder.
- Negotiate prices and sourcing of new suppliers.
- Request 3 quotes before placing orders
- Placing orders with suppliers
- Order stock for export shipments and keep record on stock
- Levels weekly
- Communicating with supplier should there be any problem with part shortages for shipment.
- Sort out export shipment queries (e.g. disputes, disagreements)
- GPIRS orders, new parts (launch parts) samples that need to be shipped to different countries for approval.
- Updating of daily stock sheets to keep track of the packaging of the shipment.
