Summary: The Senior Network Engineer will design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco Firepower solutions (FMC and FTD). This role ensures network performance, security compliance, and successful project delivery while working closely with cross-functional teams to meet technical requirements and project timelines. Responsibilities: Design and deploy Cisco Firepower solutions (FMC and FTD) for network infrastructure projects. Integrate Cisco Firepower with broader network architecture, ensuring secure communication and compliance with security protocols. Troubleshoot, optimize, and manage Cisco Firepower devices, focusing on FTD and FMC performance. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and teams to meet project deliverables and milestones. Provide detailed documentation for network designs, configurations, change management, and troubleshooting. Monitor and optimize Cisco Firepower infrastructure for performance, security, and redundancy. Mentor junior engineers and foster continuous learning within the team. Align all network solutions with industry security standards and regulatory requirements. Requirements: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco Firepower solutions (FMC and FTD). Expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and Firepower Management Center (FMC). Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, VPNs, and network security best practices. Hands-on experience in optimizing network performance and troubleshooting. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in fast-paced environments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Cisco certifications such as CCNP Security, CCIE Security, or equivalent are highly preferred. Experience in industries with mission-critical infrastructures (e.g., transportation, manufacturing, life sciences) is a plus.
