Job Description Summary As part of the mechanical team in Engineering, the successful candidate will need to be proficient in conducting the following engineering activities: Using 3D CAD tool to design plastic and metal parts for electronic boxes. Conduct rapid prototyping and rapid testing to validate design requirements. Perform design troubleshooting and design solution implementations. Support parts fabrication, product assembly, and production processes. Generate technical drawings, design reports, test plans, and technical documentation. Work with the Quality team to ensure product quality and reliability. Successful candidates are expected to have the following essential knowledge: Ability to evaluate stress and strain for plastic and metal designs. Experience in and understanding of various 3D printing technologies and other rapid prototyping techniques. Ability to design mechanical tests for design verifications. Understanding of plastic molding and metal fabrication processes. Ability to design parts that facilitate product assembly and production processes. Understanding the design of and ability to troubleshoot electromechanical connectors. Experience in providing design solutions to prevent products from being damaged by thermal and mechanical shock and vibration. Candidates with the following skills and knowledge will be preferred: Ability to conduct computer modeling and simulation using Ansys during product design. Ability to instrument products and conduct shock and vibration tests on a shaker table. Ability to analyze shock and vibration data for troubleshooting and solutioning. The successful candidate must be a team player working closely with cross-functional members to execute project tasks and meet project timelines. Education Requirements: Degree/Master in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering. 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design of plastic and metal parts for electronic boxes in the electronic product industry. Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office. #J-18808-Ljbffr
