Human by nature. EHS Manager - Your future position? As the EHS Manager , you will be involved in directing and supporting the management of all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) functions at the site, ensuring compliance with Givaudan's EHS policies and processes, as well as all applicable EHS regulations. Key responsibilities include:- Managing risks and fostering cultural change to minimize the likelihood of EHS incidents.
- Optimizing the EHS organization to deliver added value to the company.
- Promoting a strong EHS culture throughout the organization.
- Reporting to the Head of Plant Operations while based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
- Providing support and guidance to site management on all EHS aspects.
- Developing and implementing an EHS vision aligned with the company's strategy.
- Ensuring compliance with all EHS regulations.
- Overseeing all site EHS training for new and existing employees and contractors.
- Implementing behavior-based safety programs.
- Ensuring strict adherence to safety and health programs.
- Completing and submitting all regulatory reports accurately.
- Ensuring comprehensive KPI reporting and initiating actions to achieve agreed targets.
- Tracking site safety behavioral audits and incidents, analyzing trends, and reporting findings to management.
- Leading the employee safety committee to promote safety awareness.
- Managing all hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities.
- Overseeing all required documentation.
- Fostering positive relationships with external stakeholders.
- Serving as the primary contact for EHS regulatory agencies.
- Acting as the main point of contact with other departments.
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, EHS, or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of work experience in EHS within manufacturing-related industries.
- Relevant country-specific EHS qualifications and certifications.
- Expertise in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control.
- Strong skills in Root Cause Analysis and Process Safety Management.
- Experience in conducting audits and Gemba Walks in factories.
- Familiarity with Health & Safety Management and Emergency Management.
- Proven leadership experience to guide and manage a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT systems such as SAP and ERP.
- Demonstrated independence, strong sense of responsibility, and accountability.
- Maturity in handling complex situations and effective stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in the local language is essential.
- Able to work in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
