Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and assess engineering designs for solar and battery energy storage system (BESS).
- Lead the development of solar microgrid projects, working closely with all stakeholders.
- Work with junior engineer to create electrical design layout, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedule and other CAD drawings deemed necessary.
- Follow through on the detailed engineering phase with chosen partners, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and relevant legal requirements as per contract requirements.
- Commissioning of the electrical systems.
- Offer technical insights for operation & maintenance (O&M) activities, such as developing O&M manuals and setting up solar monitoring systems.
- Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as directed by Engineering Manager.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or electronics or energy engineering from an accredited university. Minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering field.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles in AC, DC systems.
- Comprehensive understanding, technical expertise, and practical involvement in the design and construction of MEP projects.
- Knowledge and involvement in HV transmission lines (AC or DC), HV substations design, construction, operation, and maintenance is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong capability to work independently, with minimum guidance.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Proficient in English, with effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to converse in mandarin with supplier is a plus.
