Job Description: IT Specialist (Infosec/Network) at Navcomtelsta Bahrain. This position requires utilizing IT-related experience to demonstrate four key competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving. The job involves advising users on types of systems and system advantages, ensuring information systems security and reliability, developing Information Assurance risk assessments, and monitoring user account information.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring completeness of preparations for Information Assurance inspections, assessments, and assist visits.
• Customer Service: Evaluating new user access requests to determine the proper level of access to information technology systems.
• Oral Communication: Conducting Information Assurance training and briefings for system users.
• Problem Solving: Identifying and minimizing risk associated with Information Management and IT system vulnerabilities.

Requirements:

• Owning and maintaining an interim and/or final TOP SECRET w/ SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
• Meeting the qualification requirement for the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework 722 work role Information Systems Security Manager, proficiency level Intermediate.
• Failing to meet a condition of employment may result in disciplinary and/or adverse action up to removal from federal service.

Additional Details:

• Pay retention may be granted when certain conditions are met.
• Military Spouse Preference applicants will be placed at the highest grade for which they have applied and are determined Best Qualified.
• The Office of the Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness) limits the number of Bahrain based DoD personnel accompanied tours. Dependent entry approval from Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command is required for all accompanied tours prior to extending the final job offer and prior to issuing Permanent Change of Station orders.
