Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions to secure favorable pricing and favorable business terms.Oversee the creation and processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance with supply chain policies and procedures, and timely delivery of goods and services.Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or discrepancies.Establish metrics and evaluation criteria to assess supplier performance.Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, addressing any concerns or issues, and implementing corrective actions when necessary. Foster continuous improvement and maintain a high standard of supplier performance.Collaborate with inventory control teams to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize inventory holding costs. Monitor inventory levels, track consumption patterns, and implement inventory replenishment strategies to support production needs while minimizing excess inventory.Manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms, conditions, and legal requirements and maintain a contract management system to track and manage supplier contracts effectively.Monitor procurement costs, analyze spending patterns, and identify opportunities for cost savings and cost avoidance.Develop and implement cost control measures to optimize procurement processes and achieve budgetary goals.Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or non-compliance with ethical standards.Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting procurement activities.Lead and supervise a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and support professional development initiatives.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management) are a plus.Experience:4+ years' experience of proven experience in sourcing, preferably within the Cement or Process industry.Experience in managing procurement operations, supplier negotiations, and contract management is essential.Knowledge of ISO & Audits is preferred.Skills and Competency:Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze procurement data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in supervising and developing a procurement team.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Knowledge of contract management principles, legal requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
