About The RoleAbout this opportunitySenior cost management professional responsible for managing the cost aspects of mechanical and electrical services within data centres construction project.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.Delivering high quality services and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet Customers' requirements.Managing projects and to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures.Preparing and presenting order of cost estimates and option studies.M&E cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting.Cost-in-use studies.Evaluating and reporting on tenders.Valuing completed work and arranging for payments.Settling final accounts.Administrating M&E contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.Producing and presenting reports to Customers.Working closely with project teams to integrate M&E cost management into overall project delivery.Identifying and managing cost-related risks and opportunities in M&E services.Managing service delivery for profit.Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.About YouWho we're looking for:Experience, Knowledge and Key SkillsSound M&E cost management experience in large-scale construction projects, including data centres or other mission critical projects.Professional knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment and installations.Knowledge of industry standards around equipment and engineering specifications relating to Data Centers.Working knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.Good knowledge and experience of post-contract cost management tasks.Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written.Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.Good organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments.Excellent problem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills.Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.Ability to work as part of a team.Proficiency in English.
