Description of the role and purpose of the job: IT Internal Audit Senior Manager with strong data and analytics and/or Program Assurance experience. This role requires the candidate to be able to perform the following activities: scoping, planning and reporting of data and analytics engagements, and also includes proving guidance and support to the team (of IT resources). The secondary purpose of this role is advising clients in effectively managing IT related risks. Note: The candidate will also be responsible for providing guidance to junior colleagues on their engagement related goals, performance and career progression in the capacity of Performance Manager as well as other operational roles within the division. Key responsibilities: • Analysing audit strategy and plans • Defining ideal target audit approaches that leverage technology and data analysis • Active engagement with internal audit partners, key client contacts and junior team members • Team leadership • Providing insight to our audit clients about IT in their businesses in presentations and reports • Project / engagement management • Review and quality assurance of deliverables (including final client deliverables such as reports, memos, etc.) • Develop internal and external client relationships • Client liaison and problem solving • Ability to identify potential business development / sales opportunities • Communicating findings to key stakeholders (client and audit), as well as investigating mitigating controls and procedures for control deficiencies • Building capabilities and methodologies in the areas of specialisation (including data analytics) • Performance management of allocated colleagues Skills and attributes required for the role: • Strong desire to learn through diverse experiences • Proactiveness and self-leadership • Passion for both business and Information Technology (IT) • Ability to work under pressure • Excellent documentation and report writing ability • Time management, discipline, accountability, self-motivation and eagerness are vital skills • Ability to build sound internal and external relationships • Strong administration skills • Team leadership skill, ability and experience • Being able to coach and guide junior staff to perform their responsibilities as well as provide fair feedback on their performance • Enquiring mind • Analytical, stable and logical thinker • Excellent client relationship development skills • Conflict resolution skills
