Overview

TekSynap seeks a distinguished Logistics Administrator to lead our team in providing unparalleled logistical support for the 160th Signal Brigade. This crucial position involves managing the comprehensive logistics operations within the Brigade and Battalion Headquarters, ensuring compliance with DoD and Army supply policies and regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of logistical efficiency. As the Logistics Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper management of supply, maintenance, transportation, and logistics automation functions. You will play a vital role in maintaining the logistical readiness of the Brigade, coordinating and integrating various logistical functions to achieve efficient and effective support. Your duties will encompass a broad spectrum of logistics functions, including maintaining an active Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP) Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW) account, managing excess equipment and redistributing it throughout the Brigade, and assisting the Property Book Officer (PBO) in ensuring 100% accountability of equipment. You will also be responsible for tracking transportation shipments in AESIP Parts Tracker, preparing Transportation Control and Movement Documents (TCMD) and load plans, and supporting the collection of reports on all equipment within the 160th Signal Brigade.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage and guide the logistics operations for the Brigade and Battalion Headquarters, ensuring compliance with DoD and Army supply policies.
  • Maintain an active Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP) Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW) account and understand how to read and request changes to the Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE).
  • Assist the Property Book Officer (PBO) in ensuring 100% accountability of equipment, making sure all authorized equipment is on hand according to MTOE/TDA.
  • Manage excess equipment and redistribute it throughout the Brigade, and monitor unit supply personnel actions in the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army).
  • Collect and maintain the 160th Signal Brigade property book and hand receipts using GCSS-Army, LOGTAADS, MTOE and TDA, AESIP, AESIP LMR, Common Table of Allowances (CTA), and SB 700-20.
  • Track transportation shipments in AESIP Parts Tracker and take action to expedite delivery when required by the Government.
  • Prepare Transportation Control and Movement Documents (TCMD) and load plans, and ship government equipment, supplies, and material via various approved methods.
  • Support the collection of reports on all equipment within the 160th Signal Brigade and coordinate with subordinate units to ensure proper reporting of Modified Work Orders (MWO).

Required Qualifications

  • Security Clearance: Must possess an active SECRET clearance.
  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
  • Certifications: 40-hour Property Book and Maintenance certifications via GCSS-Army Training and Certification (GTRAC).
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience; PhD with 0-2 years of relevant experience.

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced Degrees and Certifications:
    • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Additional certifications relevant to logistics management, such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
  • Specialized Experience:
    • Over ten years of logistics management experience specifically in defense or military environments, demonstrating a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of these sectors.
    • Experience with Army logistics software systems and tools, such as GCSS-Army, AESIP, and LIW.
  • Leadership and Collaboration Skills:
    • Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary teams, highlighting successful team development, conflict resolution, and project delivery.
    • Experience in fostering collaboration between government entities, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Strategic and Analytical Abilities:
    • Proven track record of strategic planning, risk management, and contingency planning, demonstrating the ability to foresee potential challenges and proactively devise effective solutions.
    • Advanced analytical skills, with experience in leveraging data analytics, performance metrics, and project evaluation techniques to drive project improvement and innovation.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
    • Exceptional communication skills, with experience in presenting complex technical information to non-technical audiences, including senior military and government officials.
    • Proficiency in negotiation and persuasion, capable of securing stakeholder buy-in on critical project decisions and directions.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Advanced knowledge of DoD and Army logistics policies and protocols, with experience managing projects involving sensitive and classified information.
    • Experience in compliance and audit processes related to logistics and supply chain management.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Location: Multiple, including Headquarters (HQ) 160th Signal Brigade (Camp Arifjan, Kuwait), contractor facilities, approved telework sites as per the Telework Plan, and potentially both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) for training and customer support as required.
  • Type of environment: The work environment will vary based on location, ranging from office settings at HQ 160th Signal Brigade or contractor facilities to remote telework settings, and potentially field environments when travel is required.
  • Noise level: Low to Medium
  • Work schedule: The core working hours are established by the 160th Signal Brigade as 0900 through 1500 local time, Monday through Friday. The contractor may allow employees to begin from 0600 through 0900. Full coverage is required from 0600 through 1600 for certain positions, including the Logistics Administrator. Extended hours or weekend work may be necessary depending on mission requirements.
  • Amount of Travel: Travel may be required up to 25% of the time for training and customer support, both CONUS and OCONUS. Travel requirements, including plans, agenda, itinerary, and dates, must be pre-approved by the Government. All travel will be in compliance with the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR). A valid U.S. unrestricted passport is required for OCONUS site support.
