Weare looking for a full-time Motor Mechanic for our business to join our highlytalented team. We are situated at Unit 3/60 Dandenong Road West, Frankston VIC3199. Duties and responsibilities:
- Discuss problems with vehicle operators to discover faults.
- Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing vehicles in compliance withmanufacturer’s guidelines and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, tune-ups,checking fluid levels, and rotating tyres.
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components such astransmissions, suspensions, steering, brakes etc. to diagnose issuesaccurately.
- Repair or replace broken, worn, or dysfunctional parts such as brakepads, wheel bearings etc. and test and reassemble components.
- Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation,ignition, and electronic fuel injection.
- Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on goodvehicle use.
- Re-lines and adjusts brakes and performs wheel alignments.
- Dismantles engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, orother components and checks parts.
- Test and re-adjust to ensure repairs and maintenance are effectiveusing testing equipment or computers before handing over to the Client.
- Dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis
- Performing duties in a timely and accurate manner
- Keep logs on work and issues and ensure vehicles are in roadworthyorder.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
- Explain to clients theirautomotive problems and the repairs done on their vehicles.
- Minimum Certificate III qualification in Light VehicleMechanical Technology is required.
- At least two years of experience in a similarrole is required.
- Enthusiastic andmotivated individual.
- Adherence to OH&S Regulations.
- Availability Mon-Sat.
