Medicine Vet Nurse - ARH Canberra

We are currently seeking a like-minded Medicine Veterinary Nurse to join our team! This position offers the opportunity to work alongside leading veterinary specialists and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering a high standard of compassionate care to both patients and clients
• Caring for hospitalised patients and recovering patients after procedures
• Preparing, facilitating and monitoring for procedures
• Planning, facilitating and monitoring anaesthesia
• Preparation of patients for procedures
• Ensuring a clean and hygienic environment throughout the hospital
• Assisting with consultations
• Conducting handover of patients

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a veterinary nurse, specialty experience preferred but training can be provided
• Strong technical nursing skills, proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood sampling and performing a TPR advantageous
• Knowledge of RxWorks and Smartflow are desirable but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused during high-pressure situations
• A positive, flexible, enthusiastic attitude
• Have the ability to work closely within a team and autonomously
