Job Family Asset Management and Marine Operations Contract Type Direct Location Business Line Asset Management and Capital Projects Department Maintenance Closing Date 30-Sep-2024 The position holder is responsible to safely, timely and cost-effectively lead the performance of all CNC machines related maintenance day to day activities as per the asset management plans to achieve asset management objectives and therefore achieve IMI strategic objectives.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAdhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards.Carry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of CNC assets in a safe, timely and professional manner and return assets to operational service.Carry out preventive maintenance scheduled and planned work orders as required and provide feedback to improve the program efficiency.Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures.Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.Understand, observe, and support the implementation of Asset Management Policy, SAMP and Asset Management System.Ensure that maintenance contractors are utilized efficiently, cost effectively and in accordance with company procedures.Log completion of work and enter adequate work orders history data into IFS.Work within 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain workplace to a high standard.Undertake special projects as required.Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.Contribute to continuous improvement activities.Undertake continuous training and development.Lead and/or support young trainees and apprentices & train people within own work group.Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair all types of Process equipment & CNC & Cranes failures.Able to read PLC diagram for FANUC system to troubleshoot and trace issues.QUALIFICATIONSDiploma degree in technical engineering or equivalent.EXPERIENCEAt least 9-12 years of practical experience in a related field.Hands on experience of CNC machines.IFS practical experience is a plus.Must have a working knowledge of OSHA and/or NEBOSH standards and practices.Excellent Computer Skills in MS Office is a plus. • Understanding of Health and Safety practicesKnowledge of shipyard CNC assets' maintenance, repairs, and upgradesUnderstanding engineering, scientific and other technical informationPlanning and prioritizing activities • Advanced Problem-solving skillsAbility to present data effectively. • Excellent team working skills.Ability to train self and cascade knowledge to othersStructured Analytical skillsGood understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor qualityAbout Application ProcessIf you meet the criteria and you are enthusiastic about the role, we would welcome yourapplication.Tocomplete the application you would need the following document(s):
