Role Summary/Purpose: The Early Career Program is a 24-month program that offers an incredible opportunity to challenge yourself and gain valuable work experience. A Long-Term Internship at GE Aerospace is demanding but equally rewarding and will give you the tools you need to accelerate your career. As an Early Career Trainee (ECT) at GE Aerospace, you will gain hands-on experience across the most important elements of Aviation Operations including Sales and Marketing, Customer Support, Engineering, and Maintenance and Repair Operations. At GE Aerospace, you won’t just dream the future, you’ll help us build it. Essential Responsibilities: As an ECT Trainee at GE Aerospace, you will be assigned to support projects across different functions on a rotational basis. As the traineeship progresses, you will be expected to accept greater responsibilities until you are able to assume a lead role in a specific customer engagement later in the program, chosen based on business priorities at the time. The ECT will be responsible for helping the day-to-day tactical management of the Technician Team in the workshop, executing shop operations to SQDC in accordance with the Production Plan. In addition, the ECT will help execute Lean activities in the shop, using the principles of FLIGHT DECK. Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Learning maintenance concepts/shop visit management of aircraft engines and interpreting Instructions for Continued Airworthiness documents (AMM, ESM, SBs, etc.).
  2. Gaining experience of working in a Part 145 organization.
  3. Interpreting simple internal and external business challenges.
  4. Assisting with FLIGHT DECK activation.
  5. Maintaining good housekeeping and visual management across the shop.
  6. Helping with the tactical execution of the shop Production Plan in accordance with planning priorities.
  7. Running At Point Problem Solving (APPS) to resolve production problems.
  8. Conducting shop-based RCCAs for Safety & Quality related issues.
  9. Collaborating with other functions to address issues impacting production, such as material shortages.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in Engineering.
  • Recent Graduate or graduate with less than 1 year of experience and passionate about the Aviation Industry.
  • Flexible with traveling in the region for further rotations as part of the program.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Passion for learning; ability to self-teach and inquire.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal skills - Ability to work across cultures, diversity, and manage conflict effectively.
