Urgent requirement for an Assistant Vice President, Enterprise Architecture to be based in Qatar for a major financial institution.Responsibilities-Enforce IT industry standards such as ITIL.Perform architecture reviews with application development teams, infrastructure, Internal Risk Management (IRM), and audit teams to ensure adherence to standards, risk management policies, reuse of components, and reduced functional redundancy.Research, design, document, build, and pilot prioritized topics within the enterprise.Lead scalable, adaptable enterprise architectural design solutions/projects in synchronization with changing business needs.Collaborate with the Solution team, Infrastructure, and project teams to understand their needs and ensure the best enterprise standards are implemented.Coach and mentor architects in the delivery of architectures and execution of the target architecture.Participate in thought leadership initiatives and represent the bank at industry events where required.Identify and address gaps in the Corporate Information/Data Model in collaboration with business support teams.Participate in enterprise-level IT roadmap planning and IT governance activities.Maintain a technology watch to identify emerging technologies relevant to the line of business and promote them to the business to address their issues.Lead the technical team in procurement initiatives, including RFI and RFP activities.Lead the preparation and maintenance of documentation and standards for activities and systems user guides, in line with the overall documentation policy.Ensure design and development standards are integrated with the Group's governance framework.Ensure compliance and adherence to standards and policies regarding IT security, internet and VPN security, and business continuity/disaster recovery.Carry out tasks as assigned by the SVP IT Strategy & Governance, in alignment with the overall business plan.Required SkillsBachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, or MIS.At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with an international bank.Specific certifications or courses in IT security and Enterprise Architecture.Strong programming skills in development tools and languages.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.Adaptability in identifying and implementing change and improvements.Experience in Agile development.Preferred experience with Digital Banking applications.Proficiency in both oral and written English and Arabic.Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and practices.Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.Ability to make decisions, manage results, and communicate effectively across management levels.
