Odyssey Recruitment Global Medical Recruitment – Palmerston North, North Island $220,000 - $220,000 a year About 2 months ago , from Odyssey Recruitment Global Medical Recruitment Seeking a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist for a general hospital OB/GYN department with a broad scope of practice in the public sector located in a region with an excellent lifestyle, from scenic hiking spots to great schools Position Highlights
  • 350 bed public sector hospital
  • obstetric service provides a range of primary and secondary inpatient and outpatient care including obstetric ultrasound and a multidisciplinary antenatal diabetic clinic.
  • neonatal unit accepts babies from 28 weeks gestation.
  • 2000 births a year
  • Gynaecology services, including colposcopy, urogynaecology, fertility and hysteroscopy clinics, on an inpatient and outpatient basis
  • Outpatient clinics in some satellite hospitals
  • 40 hour week plus on call duties with 24/7 RMO cover
  • unit is accredited for both core and advanced RANZCOG trainees.
  • Excellent remuneration package with visa sponsorship, relocation package and study leave allowance and additional benefits

Professional Requirements
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) (or equivalent overseas qualification).
  • Medical Degree recognised by WHO
  • Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, or be eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration
