New Vacancy Alert Social Media Manager - Red Carnation Hotel Collection-(Southern Africa) Job Summary: As the South African Social Media Manager you will be responsible for the assistance of the general social media department within all our properties in Southern Africa. You will help execute our overall global social media strategy through organisation and scheduling of social content, content creation within our hotels, and helping to develop creative ideas to grow our social channels. Minimum Requirements: Knowledge of Social Media Platforms: Candidates should be familiar with various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc., including their features and best practices.  Content Creation: Ability to create engaging content suitable for different social media platforms, including photoshop, text, images, and videos. Analytics: Understanding of social media analytics tools to track and analyse the performance of social media campaigns and make data-driven decisions. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with followers, responding to comments and messages, and conveying the brand's message effectively. Creativity: The ability to come up with innovative ideas for social media campaigns and content that can help the brand stand out. Organisational Skills: Must be able to manage multiple platforms, schedules, and campaigns simultaneously, so good organisational skills are crucial. Customer Service Skills: Being able to handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Knowledge of Trends: Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in social media marketing and incorporating them into strategies where relevant.  Experience: Previous experience in social media management or digital marketing can be advantageous. Key attributes: The ability to generate engaging content ideas and think outside the box when it comes to social media campaigns. Being able to adapt to changes quickly and efficiently is crucial. Understanding social media analytics to measure the success of campaigns and make data-driven decisions for future strategies. Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, is essential for engaging with followers and conveying the brand's message. Being able to develop and execute social media strategies aligned with the overall marketing goals of the organisation. Ensuring that all content published on social media platforms is of high quality and error-free. Putting the needs and preferences of the target audience at the forefront of social media efforts. Managing multiple social media platforms, schedules, and campaigns while meeting deadlines. Collaborating with other members of the sales and marketing team, as well as other departments, to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency across all channels. Key Responsibilities: Social content creation: Shooting video and photo content on iPhone within our South African-based hotels, editing reels and selecting images for posts. Social content creation preparation: Planning and arranging any internal and external shoots, ensuring enough editing time. Social scheduling and listening: Writing captions in the RCH tone of voice and using Hoot suite to schedule daily content for all global properties and monitor and respond to brand mentions across all channels, for the Head of Social Media to approve UGC management: Using Stackla to moderate all property widgets and ensure up to date, as well as managing rights to UGC content. Influencer management: Working closely with the Head of Social Media to invite and approve any influencer/talent requests, either through Instagram or our influencer management tool - Jerne. Paid social assistance: Working closely with the Head of Social Media to create assets and copy for paid social media posts when required (SA)  Reporting assistance: Working closely with the Head of Social Media to pull key statistics and figures for monthly hotel social media reports when required  Social trends: Analysing key social media trends and ensuring our content plans align where appropriate  Global Monthly Calls: Joining a monthly global call with the rest of the Global Social Team to update other team members on monthly social activity and upcoming plans.
