Based in Wiri, this role will lead the technical side of capital investment project execution and coordinate contribution of all stakeholders (from investment project charter until start-up) by managing a cross-functional team. This could involve the relocation and optimizing of the existing fixed asset base and/or the purchase of new fixed assets. A day in the life… Reporting to the Engineering Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the End-to-End Project Manager in defining the project team, project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Build the investment project charter and see to it that it is strictly followed throughout the project.
- Execute the basic and detailed design of the project based on Nestlé Corporate Business Principles, Nestlé standards, local regulations, the defined User Requirements Specifications and the TPM characteristics.
- Ensure by design the workers, and operators, safety during both the construction and the ongoing operation of the plant.
- Lead the team and coordinate the contribution of all the stakeholders, to get the engineering side of the project implemented in accordance with the defined timing, cost and quality.
- Prepare and distribute the project documentation and assure that the investment project charter has been fulfilled.
- Be the engineering project team leader, meaning integrating, motivating, feedbacking, coaching, developing, managing and evaluating team members and being their support.
- Degree/Diploma in an Engineering or Technical Bachelor discipline (Mechanical, E&A, Process, Industrial engineering, or similar), including FMCG, food processing plants and technologies (Maintenance and Utilities), food safety and hygienic engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in capital investment projects development and implementation in food industry.
- Determination of methods to minimise the likelihood of injuries or damages to people and/or equipment (SH&E).
- Personnel Supervisory experience with technical teams, Mechanical and Electrical (contractors, suppliers or other 3rd parties).
- Participation in the development of small engineering improvement projects, defining technical equipment for Production and/or Industrial Services.
- Work following defined indicators/Objectives, and proactively tracking them.
- Clear and effective communication skills are essential.
