Environmental and Sampling Officer

Responsibilities include:

1. Prepare and perform swabbing in plant, air plate sampling and water sampling.
2. Perform finished product sampling in accordance with approved procedures and as per product specification requirements.
3. Preparation and submission of samples (environmental and finished product) to testing laboratories with correct submission forms in timely manner.
4. Conduct In-House Tests for Base Powders and Canning products.
5. Deliver samples to the laboratory testing (when required).
6. Support base powder sampling in accordance with approved procedures and/or specifications (when required).
7. Support on improvement of existing sampling process and methodology.
8. Support a no compromise culture for H&S within the Yashili plant and ensure compliance to all supporting processes.
9. Perform calibration.
10. Overall management of Lab for hygiene and cleanliness.
11. Calibrating and checking of equipment including weighing scales, pH meters, data loggers, thermometers etc.
12. Manage stock of Laboratory consumables to enable smooth lab operation and requesting purchase orders to be placed when required.

Requirements:

1. Excellent computer skills.
2. Accuracy and attention to detail.
3. Ability to learn and keep up with techniques.
4. Flexibility - able to switch between tasks.
5. Excellent organisational skills to maintain accurate documentation.
6. Ability to work within a team and independently.
7. Good fitness to keep up with the physical activity and heavy lifting in the role.
